Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and CJ Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stone clinches up with Rodriguez and pushes him back against the cage.

Stone breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stone is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rodriguez sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Rodriguez shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Stone manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Rodriguez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Rodriguez is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Rodriguez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Stone with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Stone is looking for a sweep. Rodriguez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Stone swings wildly with an uppercut but Rodriguez uses good head movement to avoid it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Stone content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Rodriguez has locked up a guillotine! Rodriguez's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Stone is holding on here and Rodriguez must be using up a lot of energy. Stone has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Rodriguez gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
