Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ken Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Kavanagh and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scandinavia doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Lesnar counters with a right hand to the body.

Lesnar drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Scandinavia is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Lesnar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Scandinavia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lesnar works to advance to full mount. Scandinavia defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Lesnar looking to control and managing it successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Scandinavia is desperately trying to improve his position but Lesnar has a good base and remains in mount.
Lesnar wants to stand but Scandinavia is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
Scandinavia tries to hold on but Lesnar postures up.
Scandinavia tries to reverse the position but Lesnar maintains control.

Lesnar avoids the attempt from Scandinavia to control.
Scandinavia might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Let's hope that Lesnar has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Scandinavia could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Scandinavia regains half guard.
Lesnar seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Lesnar landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Scandinavia is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lesnar pulls his head out easily.
