Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Micky Amsterdam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sitish Negi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Negi has chosen Blue eyes as his entrance music. Sitish Negi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Micky Amsterdam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sitish Negi!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Bruno Lombardi and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Negi drives through with a takedown into Amsterdam's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Amsterdam uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Amsterdam looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Amsterdam throws a right and a left that both miss.
Negi shoots in looking for a takedown but Amsterdam manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Negi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Negi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Amsterdam to the mat! Amsterdam manages to get full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Amsterdam wants to sweep but no luck.

Negi decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Amsterdam, up you get!
Amsterdam displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Negi.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Negi manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Negi has picked Amsterdam up - he's going for a ride! Negi dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Negi lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Negi decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Negi throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Amsterdam was covering up waiting for the punch and Negi finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Negi gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Amsterdam tries to sprawl but Negi drives through with a takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Negi stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Negi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Amsterdam sprawls well. Amsterdam wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Negi gets slowly back to his feet.
Micky Amsterdam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sitish Negi.

Negi feints and as Amsterdam raises his hands in defense, Negi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Negi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Negi stands up from Amsterdam's guard - Negi perhaps looking for a knockout.
Amsterdam throws a left and a right that both miss
and Negi counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Micky Amsterdam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Negi looking to score a takedown here. Amsterdam is defending well but Negi drives through and ends up in Amsterdam's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Negi decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Amsterdam, up you get!
Negi shoots in for a takedown but Amsterdam shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Nice takedown defense from Amsterdam. No joy for Negi on that attempt.

Amsterdam closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Amsterdam postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Negi to stand up.

Amsterdam trying to control the position from guard on top but Negi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Negi pushes Amsterdam off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Amsterdam moves into range and clinches up with Negi.

Negi has picked Amsterdam up - he's going for a ride! Negi dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sitish Negi dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Excellent takedown into side control there by Amsterdam.

Negi throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Amsterdam stuffs the takedown.

Negi closes the distance and clinches.
Negi has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Amsterdam is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Negi working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Negi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Amsterdam's guard.

Negi postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Negi trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Negi stands and steps away. Amsterdam gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Amsterdam gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Negi is looking for a takedown.
Micky Amsterdam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sitish Negi.

Negi manages to break the clinch.

Amsterdam shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Amsterdam decides to stand and escape the position.

Negi gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Amsterdam cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A left and a right from Amsterdam both land. Nice combination.

Amsterdam closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Negi is trying to stand up here but Amsterdam is controlling him well.

Negi has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Amsterdam is on him like a limpet, forcing Negi back against the cage.

Negi is looking to take this one to the mat.
Amsterdam gets underhooks to prevent Negi's takedown attempt.
Amsterdam stops a takedown attempt from Negi.
Amsterdam is pressed up against the cage. Negi has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Amsterdam down to the mat. Amsterdam avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Amsterdam gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Amsterdam escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Amsterdam has managed to clinch.
Negi has Amsterdam pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Amsterdam manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Negi has clasped his hands together around Amsterdam's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Amsterdam bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Amsterdam looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Negi wants to get back to his feet.

Amsterdam postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Negi to stand up.

Amsterdam gets a clinch.
Negi goes for a takedown in the clinch but Amsterdam prevents it.
Negi is trying to drag Amsterdam to the mat but Amsterdam just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Negi goes for a takedown attempt but Amsterdam pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Micky Amsterdam will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Amsterdam connects with a nice short shot to Negi's temple.
Amsterdam is looking to stall here but Negi recovers full guard.
Amsterdam is looking to work some ground and pound but Negi has wrist control.

Amsterdam throws an elbow that misses. Negi uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Amsterdam's guard. Nice move by Negi!

Negi lands a couple of elbows.

Negi gets to his feet. Amsterdam looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Amsterdam throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Micky Amsterdam is winning the standup battle so far.
Amsterdam misses with a wild combination.
Negi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Amsterdam defends it nicely.

Negi gets caught flat footed, as Amsterdam shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Micky Amsterdam showed his dominance in that final round.
