Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between German Valdez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gaudencio Roman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 34 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, German Valdez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gaudencio Roman!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valdez moves out of range of the strikes.

Let's hope that Roman has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Roman has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Valdez regains guard immediately.
Roman must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Roman has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Valdez is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Valdez goes for a double leg but Roman avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Roman continues to drive forward.

Well Roman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
