Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 41 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Alexander Povetkin!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Povetkin throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Golden sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Povetkin throws a hook to the side of Golden's head but Golden sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Povetkin cracks Golden with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Golden.
Povetkin stalks Golden and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Golden's face. Golden staggers backwards, shaken.


It looks like Trey Golden has been cut.

Golden has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Golden lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Golden buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Povetkin drops Golden with a beautiful combination! Golden stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Povetkin is looking for the KO!
Oh Golden is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Povetkin cracks Golden with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Golden falls to his knees and Povetkin doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
