Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Herteruiop Jertuaser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Herteruiop Jertuaser!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cook keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Cook moves into the clinch successfully.
Cook doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Cook breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jertuaser lands a nice shot that snaps Cook's head back.
James Cook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jertuaser is trying to break the clinch but Cook has him pressed against the cage.
Jertuaser is trying to drag Cook to the mat but Cook just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Cook on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cook tries to get out of the position.

Cook has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jertuaser can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cook knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jertuaser on the ground.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jertuaser wants to control from the top but Cook keeps moving.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Cook stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cook wants it to stay on the feet.
James Cook has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Herteruiop Jertuaser.
Jertuaser tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cook defends well and Jertuaser ends up having to push Cook into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Jertuaser shoots in looking for a takedown. Cook tries to sprawl out of it but Jertuaser keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cook manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Cook has gone for a leg lock! Jertuaser slips out almost immediately though and dives into Cook's guard.

Cook has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Cook throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Jertuaser escapes and throws Cook's legs to the side, diving into side control!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Cook tries to bench press Jertuaser off him but Jertuaser keeps the position.
Cook avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Jertuaser.

Cook has one of Jertuaser's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Cook takes the fight into the clinch.

Cook gets control of Jertuaser's arms and successfully pulls guard. Cook will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
James Cook overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Cook has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jertuaser is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Cook.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cook, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
