Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chirs Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deair Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chirs Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Deair Shaw!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones has closed the distance and engaged Shaw in a clinch.

Shaw gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Jones regains guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Shaw accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Shaw wanted to stand there but Jones had control of the position.
Jones is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Shaw is controlling him.

Jones had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Shaw defends it easily.

Shaw has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shaw stays in close to Jones's body and controls the position.

Shaw is working Jones over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Shaw lands a couple of elbows.
Shaw's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Shaw controls from within his opponent's guard.
It looks like Shaw might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Jones striking off his back but it's not causing Shaw any problems.
Shaw makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Shaw controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shaw drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Shaw as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Jones screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Shaw! Nice submission victory there!
