The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Orlov just misses with a elbow thrown towards Bright's brow.

Bright is trying to trip Orlov. He has hold of a leg but Orlov is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Bright persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Bright has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bright is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Bright's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That was a close round but I would say that Wiley Bright will probably get the nod.

Bright has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
