Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Virgilio Davidson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Scott Fields!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Dean Styles and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fields is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Davidson's half guard.

Davidson has one foot on Fields's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Fields's coach down at Palace of Pain FC Gym - Primaries & Physicals was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Fields's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Fields shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Davidson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Fields tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Davidson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Fields has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Davidson!

Davidson gets back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fields prevents Davidson from standing back up.
Davidson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Fields slips a nice elbow through Davidson's hands, connecting with Davidson's forehead.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fields prevents Davidson from improving his position.
Fields takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Davidson looks like he's trying to stand up.

Fields stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Davidson to get to his feet.
Fields lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.


It looks like Virgilio Davidson has been cut.

Fields feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.


Davidson is rocked!
Fields arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Davidson's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Scott Fields!
