Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Petrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Kota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kota has chosen Airplanes - B.o.B ft Hayley Williams as his entrance music. Vladimir Petrov has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Charles Kota!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Igor Prikhodko and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Petrov tries to sprawl but Kota drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Petrov moves in looking to clinch but Kota pushes him off.
A nice side step and Kota releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Kota is nestled in close to Petrov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Petrov tries to bum rush Kota with a series of wild strikes but Kota uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
