Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Muraki Tunamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pikku Kakkipylly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Muraki Tunamoto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pikku Kakkipylly!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kakkipylly throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Tunamoto.

Tunamoto blocks a low kick nicely.
Tunamoto was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
A head kick from Kakkipylly lands but Tunamoto takes it in his stride.

Tunamoto has managed to clinch.
Tunamoto works on Kakkipylly's body with a couple of short punches.
Tunamoto lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Tunamoto has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Tunamoto using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Kakkipylly has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

and Tunamoto makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Kakkipylly really felt that one!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tunamoto is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kakkipylly is defending well for now.

Tunamoto escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tunamoto throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kakkipylly on the side of the head.
Kakkipylly shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Kakkipylly walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Kakkipylly ducks under a wild hook from Tunamoto.
Tunamoto lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tunamoto doesn't manage to clinch there - Kakkipylly circles away.

Tunamoto takes the fight into the clinch.
Tunamoto is leaning against Kakkipylly and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Tunamoto blocks an elbow strike from Kakkipylly.

Tunamoto pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kakkipylly tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tunamoto paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Tunamoto!
Muraki Tunamoto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tunamoto tries to clinch there but Kakkipylly circles away.
Tunamoto connects with an inside leg kick.
Tunamoto cracks Kakkipylly with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Kakkipylly tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Tunamoto pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Kakkipylly is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Muraki Tunamoto!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Muraki Tunamoto waved his t-shirt featuring GREEN!160's logo in front of the cameras.
