Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nashor Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Bacovia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nashor Oliveira!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, George Bacovia!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Felipe Paraventi and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bacovia gets a clinch.

Oliveira drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bacovia pulls his leg out and moves away.

Oliveira fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bacovia sprawls well initially but Oliveira persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Bacovia wants to get back to his feet.
Oliveira is keen to just control but Bacovia is a slippery customer.

Bacovia has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Oliveira is on him like a limpet, forcing Bacovia back against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bacovia can do anything to dispel that myth.
