Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Leksell!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smasher fails with an attempt to clinch.
Smasher is looking to clinch.
Leksell misses with a wild combination.
Hippie Smasher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smasher has taken the fight to the clinch.
Leksell is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Smasher prevents the takedown attempt.
Smasher has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Leksell avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
A right hand to the body from Smasher.
Smasher tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Smasher wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Smasher pulls guard.
Smasher is looking to sweep but instead, Leksell has passed into half guard.
Smasher gets full guard.
Leksell stopping the sweep attempt from Smasher.
Smasher lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Leksell!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smasher thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Smasher is landing with some decent strikes but Leksell is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
It looks like Shane Leksell has been cut.
Smasher goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Leksell is on top in guard.
Leksell postures up.
Smasher throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Leksell wants to pass the guard but Smasher is keeping the position.
Leksell is posturing up here but Smasher has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Leksell tries to roll out but it's too tight and Leksell has to tap! Slick submission there by Smasher!
