The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Crusadero!

It looks like Rolland Ward has been cut.
Crusadero pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Crusadero gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ward to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Ward is standing up over Crusadero. Crusadero looks to escape but Ward dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Ward landing strikes.
Ward could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Crusadero looking for a sweep but Ward has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Ward lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Crusadero reaches up and pulls Ward towards him, trying to control the position. Ward manages to get a guillotine from the mount though! This could be big trouble for Crusadero! Crusadero tries to roll over - now Ward is on the bottom but the guillotine is really deep and Crusadero has to tap out! Great work there by Ward!
