The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jurgs throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Marquez on the side of the head.

Jurgs looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Jurgs shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jurgs showed some decent athleticism there.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jurgs in particular looking to stall.
Jurgs lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Oh Marquez is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jurgs is looking to take a break and control but Marquez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Jurgs lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Marquez quite badly. Marquez pulls Jurgs in close trying to recover. Jurgs postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Marquez on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Marquez doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
