PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Virgilio Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Della Rocca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Della Rocca's choice of entrance music: Perseverance by Hatebreed. On his way into the cage it seems that Virgilio Davidson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Virgilio Davidson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Lou da Vinci and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Della Rocca looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Davidson!
Davidson parries the strikes from Della Rocca easily there. Della Rocca is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Davidson to escape.
Della Rocca wants to lay and pray for a moment but Davidson keeps working.

Della Rocca is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Davidson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Della Rocca throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Davidson was covering up waiting for the punch and Della Rocca finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Well Della Rocca has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
