Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mathew The Devil!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jimenez lands a slapping body shot.
Jimenez fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but The Devil is out of range.
Jimenez fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
The Devil gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Jimenez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Jimenez lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Jimenez uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from The Devil.
The Devil moves out of range of the strikes.
The Devil looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
We've been informed that The Devil has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
The Devil moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Jimenez looks to score with a jab to the body but The Devil is just out of range.
The Devil drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Jimenez defends it well.

The Devil goes for a double leg but Jimenez avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jimenez continues to drive forward.
Jimenez bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

and Jimenez counters with a left and a right that stings The Devil.
Hugo Jimenez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mathew The Devil.

Jimenez ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

The Devil tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jimenez swivels and escapes.

The Devil throws a strike but Jimenez rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The Devil is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Jimenez has his hands clasped together but The Devil extends and breaks Jimenez's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by The Devil.
