Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bazooka Joe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bradley Work!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Work misses with a head kick.
Joe is looking to counter punch.
Work tries to clinch up.
Joe wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Work shoots and misses

and Joe holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Joe swings wildly with an uppercut but Work uses good head movement to avoid it.
Joe works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Nice body punch from Joe - that landed with a thud.
Work looks winded!
Joe scores with a nice hook to the head.
Work tries to pull guard but Joe holds him up against the cage and eventually Work drops back down to his feet.
Joe goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Joe misses with a punch to the body.
Work goes for a takedown attempt but Joe pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bazooka Joe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bradley Work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Joe steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Work.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Joe lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Work or not.
Still in the clinch, Joe scores with a nice short uppercut.
Joe scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Work is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Joe gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Joe scores with a shot to the side of Work's head.

Joe lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Joe lands a right hand that snaps the head of Work backwards.

Joe drops Work onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Work is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!


Work is rocked!
Joe pushes Work against the cage. Joe is working some dirty boxing. Joe pushes off with a quick right hook! Work goes down! Work tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Joe moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bazooka Joe!
