Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alexander Johansson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brennan Abramson!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Anthony Taglia and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooh!!! Johansson has knocked Abramson down with a huge combo! Johansson steps away and waves a wobbly Abramson back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Johansson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Abramson.
Abramson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Johansson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Abramson.
Abramson has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Abramson looks to land a body kick but Johansson moved away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Johansson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Abramson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Johansson tries to avoid it but Abramson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Johansson to the ground. Johansson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Johansson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Abramson is rocked!
Abramson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Abramson is still on wobbly legs! Can Johansson finish him?
Abramson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Johansson rattles Abramson with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Abramson tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Johansson dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Abramson stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Alexander Johansson!
