Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Diego Brandao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Hopkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hopkins has chosen Coming home -Dirty money as his entrance music. Alex Hopkins has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Diego Brandao's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandao takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Hopkins lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Hopkins misses with an uppercut. Brandao saw that one coming.
Brandao drops down looking for a counter takedown but Hopkins sprawls and moves away.
Hopkins lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Hopkins misses with an uppercut.
Good leg kick by Hopkins there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Brandao feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brandao scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Brandao has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Brandao keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hopkins's head.

Hopkins working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brandao doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Hopkins is tightening it up a little... Brandao has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Brandao reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Brandao taps out! Nice BJJ there by Hopkins!

Alex Hopkins tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
