Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Casey Barrera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Robert Crawford!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barrera gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Barrera really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Crawford keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Barrera's efforts to push away.
Crawford throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Barrera misses with a punch to the body.
Crawford pushes off an throws an elbow but Barrera leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Crawford gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Barrera avoids a wild elbow strike from Crawford.

Crawford lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Crawford creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Barrera jumps guard and drags Crawford to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Crawford wanted to stand there but Barrera had control of the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Barrera holds on and takes a little breather.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Barrera has his foot on Crawford's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Crawford works his way back into a safe position though.
Crawford trying to stand up but can't free himself from Barrera's guard.
Barrera tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Barrera has a closed guard, preventing Crawford from standing up.
Crawford is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Crawford really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barrera. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Barrera is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Crawford frees his head nicely. Oh but Barrera has switched to an armbar! Crawford is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
