Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eldar Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tito Kerr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Eldar Smith has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eldar Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tito Kerr!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerr takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Smith changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Kerr dodges the punch combination from Smith.
Kerr tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Kerr steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Smith.
Kerr with the counter takedown but Smith avoids it easily.
Kerr needs to keep his hands up - Smith had a free shot at his head there.


It looks like Tito Kerr has been cut.
Smith misses the body punch

and Kerr counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Kerr is looking to work some ground and pound but Smith has wrist control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Smith will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Smith is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Smith has control of Kerr's left arm, preventing Kerr from doing any damage.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Smith misses with a looping left.
Kerr feints the counter takedown.
Smith wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Kerr's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Smith connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kerr scrambles back to his feet.
Smith scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Smith fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kerr manages to avoid it.
Smith bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kerr's head.
Smith is looking to wear down Kerr with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Smith throws out a loose jab but Kerr uses good head movement to avoid it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Smith ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kerr moves away.

Smith lands a big uppercut and Kerr crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Kerr looks OK. Smith waves Kerr back to his feet!
Smith is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Kerr is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Eldar Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Smith uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kerr has time to react.


That has opened up Tito Kerr's cut even more.

Smith feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kerr sprawling to the canvas! Kerr rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Smith finish him?!

and Kerr counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kerr.
Kerr seems to have recovered his senses.
Kerr has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Smith is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at THE GYM (20 Elite coaches on the Island !!!) that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Smith wants to sweep but no luck.
Kerr postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Smith is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Smith knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kerr on the ground.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Kerr winds up and cracks Smith with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Smith connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kerr's hands.
Smith is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kerr can do to turn this around?

Smith drops Kerr with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kerr looks back up at him and smiles so Smith waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kerr leaves his chin hanging out and Smith seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Kerr crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Eldar Smith!
An out of breath Eldar Smith thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
