Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jan Tischler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 44 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cormac Maguire!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tischler moves into the clinch.
Maguire is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Maguire is trying to force a seperation but Tischler has the dominant position.
Tischler is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Tischler scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Maguire breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Tischler has closed the distance and engaged Maguire in a clinch.
Tischler keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Maguire's efforts to push away.

Tischler is trying to trip Maguire. He has hold of a leg but Maguire is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Tischler persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Maguire has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Tischler is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

and Maguire counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Tischler tries to close the distance and clinch up but Maguire swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Maguire moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Tischler is looking to clinch but Maguire is avoiding it.

Maguire keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Maguire preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Maguire looks like he's trying to stand up.

Tischler is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Maguire defends it well.

Tischler looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Maguire blocking the ground and pound attempt from Tischler.
Tischler misses with a head shot. Maguire uses the momentum to regain guard.
Maguire is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Tischler has gone for a leg lock! Maguire slips out almost immediately though and dives into Tischler's guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Tischler is trying to trip Maguire. He has hold of a leg but Maguire is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Tischler persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Maguire pulls Tischler in close to his closed guard and prevents Tischler from doing any damage or advancing position.

Maguire connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tischler throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Maguire sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Maguire dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Tischler. That did some damage!

Tischler fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Maguire avoids it really well and circles away.

and Maguire counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Tischler throws a punch but it's blocked by Maguire.
Maguire prevents a body shot from Tischler.

Tischler turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Tischler manages to end up in side control.
Tischler tries to advance to mount but can't.
Maguire is looking for a sweep.
Maguire wants to control but Tischler postures up.
Tischler throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Maguire works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Tischler is taking a breather. Maguire says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Tischler is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Tischler is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Maguire sees it coming and defends easily.
