Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yoji Kikuchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hashirama Senju (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Senju feints and then cracks Kikuchi's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kikuchi down.
Kikuchi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Senju connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Senju misses with a low kick.
Senju has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Senju scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Senju scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Senju moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Senju fails to land with a series of punches.
Senju is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Senju displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kikuchi.

Senju misses with a few strikes there.
Senju tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kikuchi half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Senju closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Kikuchi takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Senju fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kikuchi.
Senju throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Kikuchi is looking to work some ground and pound but Senju has wrist control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kikuchi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Kikuchi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Senju utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Senju moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Senju tried to score with a low kick but Kikuchi checks it.
Kikuchi shoots in for a double leg but Senju sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

As Kikuchi backs off Senju throws a huge counter combo but Kikuchi manages to avoid it all.
Kikuchi dives in and grabs Senju's left leg, looking for a takedown. Senju pushes down on Kikuchi's head and hops out.

and Kikuchi counters with a shoot takedown. Senju fights it but they end up in guard.
Kikuchi wants to control from the top but Senju keeps moving.
Kikuchi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Senju swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Senju wants to sweep but no luck.
Kikuchi works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Kikuchi wants to work for an arm triangle but Senju is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Kikuchi has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Senju is squirming around, avoiding Kikuchi's attempts to control the action.

Senju throws a leg kick that misses.
Senju fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kikuchi has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Kikuchi shoots for a takedown but Senju saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Senju is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Kikuchi with a body shot.

Hashirama Senju is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Kikuchi drops down looking for a counter takedown but Senju sprawls and moves away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Senju. Kikuchi does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kikuchi was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Senju throws a body punch but Kikuchi moves out of range.
It looked like Kikuchi was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Senju.
Kikuchi takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

and Kikuchi counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Kikuchi throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Kikuchi throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Kikuchi trying to control from half guard but Senju is working away.

Kikuchi is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Senju is just riding it out for now. Kikuchi eventually gives up the hold.
Kikuchi is taking a breather. Senju says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Kikuchi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Senju does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kikuchi seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Senju won't allow Kikuchi to pass to mount.

Kikuchi seems to be working for a kimura but Senju defends the submission attempt.

Kikuchi is looking for a kimura but Senju is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kikuchi to get the leverage.
Senju pushes Kikuchi off looking to stand but Kikuchi dives back in and keeps control.

Kikuchi maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Senju could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Kikuchi has cracked it and Senju is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Kikuchi!
