PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Branden Wooster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brown Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wooster comes to the cage accompanied by Jiu-Jitsu Song. The crowd seem to be enjoying Wilson's choice of entrance music: crazy bitch. Brown Wilson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Branden Wooster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 32 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Brown Wilson!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wilson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Wooster looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Wilson drops an elbow to the side of Wooster's head.
Wooster is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Wilson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wooster with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wooster is pressing down on Wilson's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Wooster manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wilson manages to get himself to full guard.


Wooster has gone for a leg lock! Wilson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Wooster's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

It looks like Wilson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Wooster has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wilson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A relieved looking Branden Wooster thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
