The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Richard enables Bizping to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Richard manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Bizping stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Richard swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Richard looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Bizping has picked Richard up and slammed him! Richard can't keep hold of the triangle and Bizping manages to pass to side control!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bizping is working to tighten his grip on Richard's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Richard has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Bizping is really squeezing tight and eventually Richard passes out! Bizping breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

A very excited looking Michael Bizping rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
