The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pinksy works the jab nicely.
Bourque throws a lazy head kick
and Pinksy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looked like Bourque wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Decent striking displayed by Pinksy there.

Bourque throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Bourque throws a looping overhand right but Pinksy ducks down to avoid it.

Crunch! Pinksy slams his shin into Bourque's torso.
Pinksy throws a body shot but no joy.
Bourque tries to bum rush Pinksy with a series of wild strikes but Pinksy uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Pinksy throws a right hand that Bourque ducks under and follows up with a left that Bourque also avoids with ease.
It looked like Bourque was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Pinksy goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Bourque avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bourque thinks about countering with a head kick.
Bourque takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Bourque pulls out of a head kick attempt.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bourque is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bourque has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Pinksy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Drew Pinksy dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
