Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marco Ruas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Clothesoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruas comes to the cage accompanied by Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Oliver Clothesoff enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clothesoff throws a right and a left that both miss.
A right-left combo lands from Ruas.
Ruas tries to clinch but Clothesoff moves out of range.
Clothesoff swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Clothesoff misses with a straight left.
Clothesoff closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Marco Ruas has been cut.
A big left from Ruas misses.
Clothesoff scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Clothesoff takes a swing at Ruas's ribcage but misses.
Ruas tries for a takedown but Clothesoff sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Clothesoff throws a right hand that Ruas ducks under and follows up with a left that Ruas also avoids with ease.
Clothesoff looks to land a combination but Ruas avoids it well.
Ruas shoots in but no luck this time.

and Ruas counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Ruas is fighting off a takedown attempt but Clothesoff is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Ruas to the mat. Ruas regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Clothesoff is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Ruas is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Clothesoff throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ruas stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Ruas drives through with a takedown into guard.

Clothesoff looking for a guillotine here but Ruas defends easily.

Ruas is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Clothesoff is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Clothesoff has escaped and now he's on top!

and Ruas counters with a nice double leg into side control. Clothesoff won't be happy with that.

Ruas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The strikes coming from Ruas are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Ruas throws a strike but Clothesoff rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Marco Ruas.
I think Clothesoff has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
