The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chalidov instigates a clinch.
Chalidov tries to work over Richardson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Richardson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Chalidov regains guard immediately.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Chalidov manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Chalidov closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Richardson's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Richardson is looking for a triangle here but Chalidov uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Richardson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Chalidov takes a little break here. Richardson wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Chalidov stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Richardson has picked Chalidov up - he's going for a ride! Richardson dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Chalidov kicks Richardson off and gets to his feet.

Chalidov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Richardson sprawls well initially but Chalidov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Mamed Chalidov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Richardson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Richardson throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Chalidov escapes and throws Richardson's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Chalidov is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Richardson knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Richardson for a finish.
