Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Carlton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladislav Maslow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlton's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, 2Pac - I'm A Soldier (Echale Mojo Remix) . The crowd seem to be enjoying Maslow's choice of entrance music: Werewolves Of London. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maslow lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Carlton throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
We've been informed that Maslow has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Carlton misses with a double jab.
Carlton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Maslow tries to clinch but Carlton is having none of it.
Carlton looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Maslow fails with an attempt to clinch.
Maslow swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Carlton counters with a left and a right that stings Maslow.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Maslow slips a jab and a cross from Carlton.
Carlton chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Maslow can pounce on him.
Carlton throws a hook but Maslow blocks it.
A little jabbing left from Maslow on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Maslow lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Carlton misses with some punches.
Maslow is trying to pull guard but Carlton has him pressed against the cage.
Carlton struggles to land a body shot inside as Maslow controls his hands.

Maslow decides to pull guard.
Maslow is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Carlton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Carlton keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Maslow perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Carlton is looking for a sweep. Maslow is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Carlton manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Carlton wants to stand and escape but Maslow is having none of it.

Maslow is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maslow trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Maslow has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Maslow slips nicely into half guard.
Carlton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Maslow is working away from the top position though.

Carlton is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Carlton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Carlton is trying to maintain the position but Maslow is very close to passing his half guard.

Maslow is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Carlton defends it well.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Maslow is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Carlton doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Maslow.
Carlton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Maslow is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Carlton defends it well.
Carlton tries to roll over but Maslow keeps him under control.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Maslow is figuring out what he wants to do next.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Carlton throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Maslow.

Carlton drops Maslow with a beautiful combination! Maslow stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Carlton is looking for the KO!

It looks like Vladislav Maslow has been cut.
Maslow is looking to clinch.
Carlton tries to bum rush Maslow with a series of wild strikes but Maslow uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Carlton misses with a few strikes there.
Carlton's jab looks to have found its range, popping Maslow under the eye.
Carlton stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Maslow.
Carlton throws a series of punches but Maslow moves out of range.
Maslow tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Carlton manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Carlton takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Carlton feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Maslow sprawling to the canvas! Maslow rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Carlton finish him?!

Maslow is rocked!
Maslow throws a lazy uppercut
and Carlton counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Maslow badly! Carlton follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Maslow out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Carlton finished him against the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kyle Carlton!
