Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bas Rutten!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duff throws a lazy body kick
and Duff takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Duff tries a low kick but Rutten avoids it.
An inside leg kick from Rutten misses.
Bas Rutten seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rutten pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Duff throws a shot from downtown. Rutten moves away and avoids it.
A nice side step and Rutten releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Rutten's corner calls for a 1-2. Rutten obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Rutten misses with the combination.
Rutten fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Duff checks it well.
A nice leg kick lands there from Rutten.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Duff throws a wild body kick that Rutten sees coming a mile off.
Rutten throws a big shot that misses.
A swing and a miss from Rutten.
Rutten blocks a head kick by Duff.
Duff tries to land a front kick but Rutten steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A looping hook to the body misses from Duff. Rutten does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rutten scores with a nice right hand.
Rutten drops Duff with a beautiful combination! Duff stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Rutten is looking for the KO!
Duff is rocked!
It looks like Brendan Duff has been cut.
Rutten fakes the body blow, causing Duff to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Duff goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
