PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arief Damanik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Herteruiop Jertuaser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Herteruiop Jertuaser!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Damanik feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Jertuaser avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Damanik is looking to pass into half guard but Jertuaser pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Jertuaser is in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Damanik is on top in guard.

Jertuaser should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Damanik avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Damanik is looking to work some ground and pound but Jertuaser has wrist control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jertuaser looking to hit a scissor sweep but Damanik is one step ahead there.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Jertuaser has eaten all the pies!

Damanik is looking to finish with some ground and pound!

Damanik is working for a rear naked choke. Jertuaser is not defending it well and Damanik has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Jertuaser refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Jertuaser's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
