Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Mackenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Johnson Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mackenzie's entrance music is Darude - Sandstorm. A fine choice. Johnson Jr comes into a darkened arena with his song building. You Can Run kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Matthew Mackenzie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matthew Mackenzie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michael Johnson Jr!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mackenzie throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Mackenzie dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Johnson Jr. That did some damage!

Mackenzie darts in and clinches Johnson Jr up against the cage.
Johnson Jr tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Mackenzie has Johnson Jr pressed against the cage, preventing Johnson Jr from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Mackenzie escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mackenzie connects with a high kick.
A jab from Mackenzie does it's job there.
Mackenzie takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Johnson Jr scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mackenzie dodges the ground and pound from Johnson Jr.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mackenzie is looking to reverse the position.

Johnson Jr decides to stand back up. Johnson Jr steps back and let's Mackenzie get back to his feet.
Johnson Jr looks to land a combination but Mackenzie avoids it well.
Mackenzie seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Johnson Jr takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Johnson Jr closes the distance and clinches up with Mackenzie, looking for a takedown. Johnson Jr pushes Mackenzie against the cage but Mackenzie circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Johnson Jr takes a kick to the side of the head.

Mackenzie connects with a right hand. Johnson Jr shakes it off.
Johnson Jr looks to score with a jab to the body but Mackenzie is just out of range.
Johnson Jr shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mackenzie defends it nicely.

Mackenzie lands with a good body shot.
Michael Johnson Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mackenzie goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Mackenzie throws a head kick that Johnson Jr semi-blocks.
Mackenzie uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Johnson Jr.
Johnson Jr steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Mackenzie. That one must have hurt.
Mackenzie sizes up Johnson Jr with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Johnson Jr takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Mackenzie lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A kick lands to the mid section there for Mackenzie.
Matthew Mackenzie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Mackenzie! Johnson Jr is out on his feet! Mackenzie rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Johnson Jr is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Johnson Jr is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
