Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Vale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Frederiksen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Vale might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Motorhead-Iron Fist . Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vale takes a swing at Frederiksen's ribcage but misses.
A punch combination from Vale misses.
Frederiksen drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Vale defends it well.
Vale lunges at Frederiksen with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Frederiksen's hand.
Frederiksen takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

A lazy left from Vale finds it's target.
Simon Vale seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vale slaps away a takedown attempt from Frederiksen, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Vale seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Frederiksen drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Vale defends it well.
Vale stuns Frederiksen with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Frederiksen shoots for a takedown but Vale saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Frederiksen moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
A head kick misses from Frederiksen.
Vale throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Frederiksen on the side of the head.
Vale pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Frederiksen back to the cage. Vale follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Frederiksen doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Frederiksen's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Vale connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Frederiksen scrambles back to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vale lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Frederiksen is still on wobbly legs! Can Vale finish him?

Vale decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Vale is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Frederiksen is hurt! He's hurt bad - Vale fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Frederiksen from any more punishment! Congratulations to Vale! Great finish!
