The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Runner takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Runner rushes Paulsen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Paulsen tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Runner's elbow.
Runner has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Paulsen after a bit of a struggle.

Paulsen misses with a hook to the ribs.

Runner creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Runner is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Paulsen is defending well.

Paulsen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Runner takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Runner is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

and Paulsen counters with a crisp right hand that drops Runner! Paulsen lets Runner back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

It looks like Blade Runner has been cut.

Paulsen feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Runner sprawling to the canvas! Runner rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Paulsen finish him?!

Runner is rocked!
Runner bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Paulsen's head.

and Paulsen counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

and Paulsen counters with a big right hand! Oh Runner is in trouble here! Paulsen follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
