Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Big Boy Rick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Uriah Sambo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Uriah Sambo!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rick swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sambo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Sambo is looking for a kimura here.
Sambo is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rick is trying to control but can't.
Rick definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Sambo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rick manages to get to full guard.

Rick is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sambo is aware though and is defending well.
Rick keeping moving, preventing Sambo from controlling successfully.
Sambo stays in close to Rick's body and controls the position.
Sambo trying to control the position from guard on top but Rick is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Rick is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sambo defends well.
Sambo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Sambo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rick has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sambo has managed to get both his arms back between Rick's legs - danger averted.
Sambo is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Rick has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Sambo is looking to defend but Rick has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Sambo! Rick pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Sambo taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Big Boy Rick!
