Anthony Patt Jr told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Thornton changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Patt Jr looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Thornton grinds an elbow into Patt Jr's temple.

Thornton is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Patt Jr is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Thornton lands a big left to the face of Patt Jr, bouncing his head like a basketball. Another shot from Thornton and another - Patt Jr is out! Thornton stands up and salutes his fans, who are going crazy in the stands.

After the fight, Keith Thornton was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
