Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Uvol!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tim Henderson!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henderson avoids the body shot from Uvol.
Henderson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Uvol fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Henderson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Nice takedown defense from Henderson. No joy for Uvol on that attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Uvol is defended easily by Henderson.
Henderson looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Uvol throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Henderson.
Uvol dodges the punch combination from Henderson.
Uvol throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Henderson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Uvol feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Henderson's calf.
Henderson throws a right hand that Uvol ducks under and follows up with a left that Uvol also avoids with ease.

Uvol shoots in for a takedown but Henderson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Henderson doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Uvol. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Henderson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Uvol.
Henderson lands a head shot.

Uvol looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Henderson is trying to stand.
Uvol is looking to take a break and control but Henderson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Henderson pushes Uvol off looking to stand but Uvol dives back in and keeps control.
Uvol takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Henderson is trying to stand.

Uvol is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Henderson sees it coming and defends easily.

Uvol is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Henderson is not content to let Uvol control the position.

Henderson is trying to stand up here but Uvol is controlling him well.

Uvol is working for a submission of some sort.
Uvol wants to pass to mount but Henderson is defending the position.
Henderson is looking to escape.
Uvol thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Uvol trying to mount his opponent but Henderson defends it.
Henderson wants to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Uvol looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Henderson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Henderson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Uvol. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Uvol missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Nice strikes from Uvol there.
Uvol has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Uvol landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Henderson pushes Uvol off but Uvol dives into side control.
Uvol passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Henderson!

It looks like Tim Henderson has been cut.
Uvol postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Henderson is out cold - huge knockout for Uvol!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Paul Uvol!
A relieved looking Paul Uvol thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
