Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jay Haffie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gomez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Haffie keeps working.

That was a close round but I would say that Jay Haffie will probably get the nod.

Gomez manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Gomez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
