Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Graham Doyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dwayne Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Graham Doyle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dwayne Peterson!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Doyle.
Doyle throws a nice looking combination but Peterson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Peterson gets tackled into the cage by Doyle. Doyle maintains the clinch.

Doyle decides to pull guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Peterson slips nicely into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Peterson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Peterson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Peterson tries to stand but can't do so whilst Doyle controls his leg.
Doyle tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Peterson manages to move to mount!
Peterson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Peterson trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Doyle swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Peterson with a couple of short strikes.

Peterson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Doyle has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Doyle!
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Peterson holds on and takes a little breather.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Peterson drives through with a takedown into Doyle's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Peterson wants to get up but he can't break Doyle's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Peterson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

That's time! Doyle's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Peterson throws a hook but Doyle avoids it easily.

Peterson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Peterson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Doyle drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Doyle breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Peterson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Doyle is looking to clinch but Peterson is avoiding it.
Peterson feints the counter takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Doyle gets caught flat footed, as Peterson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Doyle is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Peterson dives into side control.

We've been informed that Peterson has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Doyle knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Peterson on the ground.

Peterson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Peterson works to advance to full mount. Doyle defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Peterson controlling the pace for now.
Doyle wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Doyle is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Peterson is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Peterson gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Peterson gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Peterson apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Peterson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Doyle sprawls well. Doyle wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Peterson gets slowly back to his feet.

Peterson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Peterson is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Peterson in particular looking to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dwayne Peterson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Doyle's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Peterson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Peterson moves into full mount! Doyle won't be happy about that!

Peterson goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Doyle turns into him and now he's in Peterson's guard.

Peterson lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Peterson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Doyle wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Peterson manages to pass to side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Peterson connects with a nice short shot to Doyle's temple.
Peterson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Doyle shoots in looking for a takedown but Peterson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Doyle's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Peterson goes for a double leg but Doyle avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Doyle continues to drive forward.
Peterson throws a chopping leg kick but Doyle manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Doyle wants to clinch.
Peterson throws a wild body kick that Doyle sees coming a mile off.
Graham Doyle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Peterson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Doyle breaks from the clinch.
Doyle staying out of range there.
Doyle tries to close the distance and clinch up but Peterson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Peterson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Doyle as he jumps to the side.
Doyle wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Peterson slaps away a takedown attempt from Doyle, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Peterson is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Peterson gets the takedown into side control.
Doyle wants to get back to his feet but Peterson is dominant here and he's now got Doyle's back!

Peterson has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Doyle is in real trouble here. Peterson gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Doyle is tapping out! Peterson wins by rear naked choke!
