The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCringe lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Apple circles away quickly and effectively.
McCringe throws a right and a left that Apple avoids nicely.
McCringe throws a big shot that misses.
McCringe sets himself, and Apple steps forward looking for the clinch! McCringe avoids it this time.
McCringe throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Apple is looking to clinch but McCringe is avoiding it.
McCringe is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Apple.
Apple scores with a head kick.
Apple looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Apple shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Apple showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are battling for position here. McCringe manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Apple trying to control the position from guard on top but McCringe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
McCringe is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Apple is fighting to break McCringe's control of his arms but McCringe is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Oh but McCringe is tightening it up a little... Apple has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Apple reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Apple taps out! Nice BJJ there by McCringe!
