Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dorsey Thornton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Muranda Kibawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dorsey Thornton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Muranda Kibawa!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kibawa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Thornton tries to avoid it but Kibawa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Thornton to the ground. Thornton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
As Kibawa tries to get set, Thornton tries to push him back and clinch up but Kibawa manages to avoid the attempt.

Kibawa takes the fight into the clinch.
Thornton can't find room to land a body shot as Kibawa controls the action.

Thornton pulls Kibawa into guard.
Thornton wants to sweep here but Kibawa controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kibawa in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Kibawa trying to control but Thornton is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Thornton pulls Kibawa in close to his closed guard and prevents Kibawa from doing any damage or advancing position.

Kibawa tries for a takedown but Thornton sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
As Kibawa tries to get set, Thornton tries to push him back and clinch up but Kibawa manages to avoid the attempt.

Thornton pulls guard effortlessly.
Thornton could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Thornton is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kibawa defends well.
Kibawa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Thornton swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kibawa postures up in Thornton's guard and throws a big left but Thornton blocks it.

Thornton bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kibawa's guard.

Kibawa seems keen to control Thornton's posture.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Thornton fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kibawa avoids it really well and circles away.

Thornton ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Thornton no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Kibawa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Thornton can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kibawa darts in looking for a takedown but Thornton gets double underhooks and turns Kibawa into the cage.
