Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Harding (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott Harding will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harding tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Alexander shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Harding is trying to escape back to his feet but Alexander uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Alexander slows the pace down.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alexander fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Harding is being controlled here.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Harding throws a half hearted mid kick.
Harding throws a head kick but Alexander moves out of range.
Alexander looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Harding throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Harding is looking to clinch but Alexander is avoiding it.
Harding throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Alexander throws a push kick but Harding slaps the foot to one side.
Harding drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Alexander defends it well.

Harding avoids a kick to the body.
Harding swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Harding dives in and scores a takedown into Alexander's guard.

Alexander has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Harding has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
A left hand lands to the body for Harding.

Harding manages to break the clinch.
Harding is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Harding tries to clinch but Alexander moves out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Harding looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Alexander seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Alexander throws a nice looking combination but Harding bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Harding tries to close the distance and clinch but Alexander swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

enabling Harding to counter with a crisp jab.
Harding tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Alexander manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Harding misses with a double jab

and Alexander counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Alexander is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It looks like Matt Alexander has been cut.
and Harding counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Alexander! He's just covering up as Harding starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
