Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bennie Griffith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wild Animal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bennie Griffith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wild Animal!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Skip Squint and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Animal has taken the fight to the clinch.
Griffith has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Animal is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Griffith keeps control of Animal as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Animal's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Griffith lunges at Animal with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Animal's hand.

Griffith could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Griffith is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Animal doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Griffith.

Griffith is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Animal is just riding it out for now. Griffith eventually gives up the hold.
Animal really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Griffith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Griffith seems to be working for a kimura but Animal defends the submission attempt.

Griffith wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Griffith wants to control but Animal is keeping him busy.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Animal takes the fight into the clinch.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Animal can do anything to dispel that myth.

Griffith lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Griffith wants to control from the top but Animal keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Animal has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Griffith clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Griffith is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bennie Griffith will probably get the nod.

Animal is working an open guard so Griffith takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wild Animal seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Animal has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Wild Animal comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Animal has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
