The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crane connects with a high kick.

Gates takes the fight into the clinch.
A hook to the body from Gates.
Crane can't find room to land a body shot as Gates controls the action.
Gates stalls.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Crane.
Gates's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Crane misses with a punch to the body.
Gates is trying to break the clinch but Crane has him pressed against the cage.
Gates tries to work over Crane's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Gates has Crane pressed against the cage.
Gates just leaning against Crane, taking a breather.
Gates continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A frustrated look appears on Gates's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Crane scores with a shot to the side of Gates's head.
Gates tries to circle away but Crane has him pinned against the cage.
Crane lands a hook that snaps the head of Gates backwards.
Gates creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Crane misses with some punches.

Crane throws a big uppercut that drops Gates! More strikes from Crane and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Gates lies dazed against the cage as Crane celebrates with his cornermen!
