The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Agoncillo.
Alvarado has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Agoncillo throws a head kick that misses
and Alvarado counters with a thumping low kick.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Agoncillo enables Alvarado to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Agoncillo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Alvarado stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Agoncillo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Alvarado has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Alvarado throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Agoncillo works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Agoncillo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
