Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Li Kong Ho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niklas Ostermann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Niklas Ostermann acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Li Kong Ho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Niklas Ostermann!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ho circles away from the clinch attempt
and Ho counters with a stiff right hand.

Ostermann throws a sloppy head kick and Ho moves out of range easily.
Ostermann misses with a takedown
and Ho counters with a straight right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ostermann drives through and clinches with Ho against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Ho - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Ho swings wildly with an uppercut but Ostermann uses good head movement to avoid it.

Ho jumps guard and drags Ostermann to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ho looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Ho pulls Ostermann in close to his closed guard and prevents Ostermann from doing any damage or advancing position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Ho is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ho is looking to pass into half guard but Ostermann pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Ostermann is in guard.

Ho is pulling down on Ostermann's head. It's preventing any offense from Ostermann, at least for the moment.

Ho throws a nice looking combination but Ostermann bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Ostermann tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ho manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Ostermann tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ho just stands there and leans against the cage.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Ho lands a good knee to the midsection. Ostermann won't want to take too many of those.

Ostermann got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ho has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ostermann has managed to get both his arms back between Ho's legs - danger averted.

Ho throws a series of punches but Ostermann avoids them all with ease.
Ostermann drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Ho defends it well.
Ho lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Li Kong Ho is winning the standup battle so far.
Ho misses with a double jab.
Ostermann will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Ho connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Ostermann tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Ostermann will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Ho scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Ho closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ostermann did well to prevent Ho getting side control.

That's time! Ho's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Ostermann is trying to drag Ho to the mat but Ho just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Ho connects with a nasty looking knee right to Ostermann's face.
Ho lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
