Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Palhares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimbo Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slice has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palhares looks for a takedown but Slice sprawls well.
Palhares slips a jab and a cross from Slice.
Palhares tries to close the distance and clinch but Slice swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Palhares wants to clinch.
Slice looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Slice stuffs the takedown.
Slice fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Palhares tries for a takedown but Slice sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luiz Palhares. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Slice looks gassed!
Slice misses with a double jab.

Palhares closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Slice to the mat! Slice manages to get full guard.
Palhares controls from within his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Palhares won't allow Slice to sweep him here.

Palhares stands and throws Slice's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Slice is trying to buck Palhares off.

Palhares has hold of Slice's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Slice seems comfortable defending it but Palhares has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Slice is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Slice is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Palhares couldn't care less - he's delighted!
