The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Combis avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Nelson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Combis circles away quickly and effectively.

Combis instigates a clinch.
Combis lands an elbow inside that Nelson shrugs off.

It looks like Roy Nelson has been cut.
Nelson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Combis has him pressed against the cage.

Combis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Combis jumps guard.
Nelson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Nelson stands and throws Combis's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Nelson escapes and gets back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nelson lands a jab to the nose.

Combis has closed the distance and engaged Nelson in a clinch.
Nelson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Combis drags the fight down to the ground.

Nelson scrambles and gets back to his feet.

A big head kick from Combis and Nelson is sent sprawling to the canvas!

The fighters are working up against the cage. Nelson manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Combis moves into range and clinches up with Nelson.
