Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ingemar Anders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anders comes to the cage accompanied by Gods Son. Ingemar Anders is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Ingemar Anders!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Bruce Armstrong!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anders swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Armstrong.
Armstrong goes for a double leg but Anders avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Anders continues to drive forward.

Anders tries to keep at a distance but Armstrong has taken the fight into the clinch.
Anders tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Armstrong blocking some punches.
Anders fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Armstrong tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Anders just stands there and leans against the cage.
Armstrong jumps guard but Anders turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Ingemar Anders has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruce Armstrong.
Armstrong tries to pull guard but Anders forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
We've been informed that Armstrong has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Anders struggles to land a body shot inside as Armstrong controls his hands.
Anders tries to work over Armstrong's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Anders doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Armstrong tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Anders smiles and moves away.
Anders fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Armstrong has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Anders keeps the fight on the outside.
A combination from Anders does no damage.

Armstrong closes the distance and clinches.
Anders lands a hook that snaps the head of Armstrong backwards.
Armstrong blocks an uppercut.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Anders creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Armstrong pulls guard.

Armstrong throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Armstrong has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Anders can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Anders trying to control but Armstrong is working from the bottom.
Armstrong looking to hit a scissor sweep but Anders is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Armstrong is trying to keep Anders in close.
Anders throwing strikes from guard but Armstrong blocks nicely.
Anders controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Armstrong has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Anders can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Armstrong is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Anders preventing the sweep.

Armstrong had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Anders defends it easily.

Armstrong has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Anders can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Anders is stalling in the full guard.
Anders trying to control but Armstrong is working from the bottom.
Anders looking to sit in guard and control but Armstrong gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Anders is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Armstrong's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Anders wants to sweep here but Armstrong controlling him for the moment.
Anders is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Armstrong trying to move into half guard but instead Anders has managed to sweep!

Armstrong being controlled here, momentarily.
Anders might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Armstrong has an active guard here but Anders has managed to pass into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ingemar Anders dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Armstrong throws a leg kick but Anders moved away.
Anders jabs Armstrong to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Anders misses the jab.
Armstrong tries to clinch
and Anders counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Armstrong feints and as Anders raises his hands in defense, Armstrong changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Armstrong wants to pass the guard but Anders is keeping the position.
Armstrong trying to control the position from guard on top but Anders is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Anders is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Anders is trying to control. Armstrong wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Anders is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Armstrong can do to turn this around?

Armstrong slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Armstrong throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Anders postures up in Armstrong's guard and throws a big left but Armstrong blocks it.

Armstrong working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Anders doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Anders manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Anders is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Armstrong has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Anders is looking to defend but Armstrong has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Anders! Armstrong pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Anders taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Bruce Armstrong!

An out of breath Bruce Armstrong thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
